The Legend 2

Old School Martial Arts
The Legend 2 brings old school martial arts to the current day in a similar style to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". An odd mix of Hollywood style cinematics and old style martial arts (if you've ever watched any of Bruce Lee's or JackeChan's old movies you know what I mean). Where the fight scenes aren't just about what looks good but there's actually a fight that lasts more than 5 seconds.
Plot Synopsis
Jet Li plays Fong Shi Yu who has joined The Red Flower Society during the Minchu Dynasty in China. But there's trouble in their midst with the presence of a traitor becoming ever more apparant. Fong must use all his abilities to stay alive and ensure that the Red Flower Society will live on.
Personal View
Well let's put it this way. If you're not into martial arts then don't buy this movie. And if you are, then the plot (or lack of one) is unlikely to bother you because you've probably bought this to see the fight scenes (which are excellent). I must admit that it's really good to see some lengthy fight scenes in a more modern movie than the old Jackie Chan ones or even some of the Bruce Lee Classics (though I think Jackie Chan has far longer fight scenes). You really can't go tooar wrong with this if you're a martial arts fanatic.
My Rating : 3.5/5 (Good for any Martial Arts lover but no other appeal really)
Main Cast
Jet Li
Josephine Siao
Released : 1993
Rating : M15
Genre : Action/Martial Arts
Price : $14 (on Ebay)

I was unimpressed with legend 2, but I suppose thats because I compare it to Jet Li gems like Once Upon a Time in China, Fist Of Legend and Shaolin Temple.

I'll try and dig those up because I'm a bit of a Martial Arts fanatic.
Just bought Fearless though and really looking forward to watching it.

For Jet Li also put Dr Wai and the Scripture with No Words on the list. It's a fun Indiana Jones style adventure with Li kicking and punching.
